ANGEL OF GREENWOOD
Randi Pink
Angel is in high school. She loves her family, attends church regularly, and has been supporting her father during his recent health decline. Money is tight but God is good, and they’ll make it through.
Isaiah is also in high school, and he thinks Angel is nothing more than a church-going goodie, goodie. His friends often mock her and although he may not share their sentiments exactly, he doesn’t do much to dissuade them from doing so.
One day their teacher asks them to assist her in choosing books for their mobile library. Soon Angel and Isaish will learn more about each other and come to understand they have more in common than not.
I enjoyed ANGEL OF GREENWOOD. It was nice to get a little bit of commentary, a blossoming love story, and a history lesson all in one book. The writing was fantastic, and I would read from Pink again.
I gave ANGEL OF GREENWOOD four stars and I would feel comfortable recommending it to adults and young adults alike.
